Gavin is looking for someone who’s passionate about what they do. Someone who can wear more than one hat, knows their plants, and likes to get their hands dirty.

GBRLD is an ecologically-driven design studio on the coast of Maine. Projects span the Northeast and beyond, and are rooted in the vernacular of the places we work and live in. Every site is different, and scopes of work are never exactly the same. Master planning, plant design and sourcing, construction documentation, project management, days in the field digging holes; GBRLD is often involved from start to finish on a project, and flexibility is key.

As the firm grows, Gavin is seeking an experienced landscape designer to join the team and be an integral part of this next chapter.

Applicants should be self-motivated, strong communicators and must have the following:

• 3+ years of experience in a design office

• Strong graphic representation skills: hand & digital

• Proficiency in Vectorworks and Adobe Suite

• Accredited degree in Landscape Architecture (or a compelling alternative path into the profession)

• Experience working in multiple phases of design, documentation, and execution

• Strong written and verbal communication

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned projects

• Willingness to jump into a project as needed. Design work, project management, planting installations

• Experience in landscape construction or nursery work (a plus)
